STYLAGE L Lidocaine 1ml 2 pre-filled syringes
Stylage L with Lidocaine is a hyaluronic acid-based anti-ageing treatment that is globally praised for its efficacy and natural-looking results. This volumising filler is injected into the deep dermis to plump up deep-set wrinkles and other skin depressions.
Although the Stylage filler range is fairly new, created in 2011, it has already become a popular brand due to its unique formulation. Manufactured by Vivacy Laboratories, a reputable laboratory in France and a leading manufacturer of soft tissue fillers, Stylage dermal fillers are designed using IPN-Like Technology.
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Stylage L with Lidocaine corrects deep to severe facial wrinkles, including nasolabial folds and marionette lines. It is also suitable for restoring volume and hydration to the backs of the hands.
HOW DOES THIS DERMAL FILLER WORK?
Due to the loss of naturally-produced hyaluronic acid, ageing skin becomes dry and startes to sag. Without the necessary moisture levels in the skin, the ageing process becomes aggravated, leaving your patient looking tired. By injecting HA back into the skin, moisture is restored and helps to add structure by plumping up the skin.
The patented technology creates 2 structures: a monophasic A and B structure and an IPN-Like structure. This increases the density of the cross-linked molecules, and requires less BDDE, a reticulating agent. Stylage claims this allows for more effective and long-lasting results.
As well, the gel contains mannitol, which works to protect the skin from free radicals and helps prevent the gel from being resorbed prematurely. The added lidocaine also helps reduce discomfort during the procedure, although Stylage L is also available without this anaesthetic.
HOW TO INJECT?
Prior to injecting, consult your patient and discuss their medical history and expectations of the treatment. You should also go over all possible side effects and the contraindications before proceeding. Disinfect the treatment area with an appropriate antiseptic solution and attached the provided needle to the syringe. Inject the gel slowly into the deep dermis to correct volume loss or deep wrinkles in the face or backs of the hands using the linear threading or serial puncture technique. Do not overcorrect or inject too superficially. It is not recommended to apply a cold compress to the treatment area after injection. Massage the area to promote even distribution.
Following treatment, patients should wear sun protection and avoid extreme hot or cold temperatures until the areas have healed.
HOW LONG DOES THIS FACIAL FILLER LAST?
Stylage dermal fillers are long lasting. Stylage L with Lidocaine is no different, as it can last up to 12 months. The duration of these effects will depend on the individual’s age and lifestyle, but you can recommend maintenance treatments at least once a year.
IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE?
This soft tissue filler is well-tolerated in most patients and has a high safety profile. As the hyaluronic acid is derived from a non-animal source, the risk of allergic reactions is low. The gel is apyrogenic and sterile; however, it is not recommended for use in some cases.
