As the name suggests, Stylage Special Lips is specially formulated to enhance lip shape and volume. The cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel helps to augment lip volume and define lip borders for a fully voluptuous pout. Use this cosmetic filler to help improve perioral wrinkles and to hydrate dry, cracked lips.
HOW DOES THIS DERMAL FILLER WORK?
Full lips are coveted by many, as they are seen as youthful. Whether your patient has lost lip volume due to aging or always had thin lips, their confidence may need a boost. Repeated facial movements can also result in an unattractive asymmetrical lip shape. Injectable fillers help to define and enhance, so your patient can have the beautiful, plump lips they desire. Hyaluronic acid is widely used as an injectable filler and is extremely well-tolerated. Stylage Special Lips works to moisturize dull, dry lips, as well as to add volume where it might have been lost. The patented IPN-Like Technology produces cross-linked hyaluronic acid molecules that lasts much longer than other fillers. As well, the integration of mannitol—a natural antioxidant—helps to destroy inflammatory toxins that can actually damage the skin. Moreover, mannitol also preserves the physical and chemical properties of the dermal gel during its storage before use. This high-quality filler helps revitalize your patient’s appearance by augmenting the lips, giving a natural and youthful appearance.
HOW TO INJECT?
Before the procedure, discuss your patient’s medical history and the expected results of the treatment. Use a topical or local anesthetic to reduce discomfort during the procedure. Disinfect the treatment area. Inject into or around the lip mucosa using linear threading techniques or the serial puncture technique with the needle provided. Avoid too deep or too superficial an injection. Quantity will depend on individual needs and desires.
Massage the treatment area to help optimize distribution. Do not apply cold to the area.
Advise your patient to use sun protection for the first two weeks after the treatment. As well, your client should avoid makeup, heat and extreme cold for up to 12 hours following the procedure.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Stylage Special Lips can provide a beautiful plumping effect for between 6 to 9 months. After that, your patients can get maintenance treatments as needed. It is not recommended to exceed 20ml of this filler per patient per year.
IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE?
Stylage Special Lips is made using medical-grade hyaluronic acid molecules, free from harmful pyrogens. As well, the manufacturing process is done in a sterile environment. Although this filler is very safe, it is contraindicated in certain cases, including patients with a hypersensitivity to any of the filler’s components, injections in areas other than the in and around the lip mucosa, and in combination with peeling or other dermal treatments.
SIDE EFFECTS
Inform your patient of any possible side effects prior to treatment. Stylage Special Lips may induce injection-relation reactions.
COMMON SIDE EFFECTS:
Pain
Swelling
Redness
These inflammatory responses are usually mild and are generally resolved within a week. To further reduce the risk of aggravated inflammatory reactions, advise your patient to stop taking blood-thinning agents—like fish oil, garlic pills, ginkgo biloba, warfarin, and aspirin—that may cause bleeding or bruising at the injection site. They must also avoid makeup and limit exposure to extreme temperatures (e.g. direct sunlight, sauna, tanning sessions, cold rooms).

Necrosis
Advise your patient of all side effects listed in the product pamphlet. If your patient experiences any of the above side effects for longer than a week, have them seek medical attention and report the reactions to the manufacturer.
WHAT IS IT MADE OF?
Stylage Special Lips consists of cross-linked hyaluronic acid molecules enhanced with the antioxidant mannitol. The hyaluronic acid is extracted and purified from Streptococci bacteria fermentation. It is then further processed using IPN-Like Technology to produce a gel with adaptable elasticity and viscosity to suit various needs. After mannitol is added, the gel is reconstituted in a buffer solution of pH 7.2.
