Xeomin 100U Non-English 1 vial
Xeomin is a botulinum toxin produced by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. This unique injectable is indicated for the temporary improvement of moderate to severe glabellar frown lines, periorbital lines, and forehead lines in adults below 65 years of age.
Xeomin works to relax the facial muscles by blocking nerve impulses in the injection site. With this, it reduces the look of facial folds, giving the skin a more youthful, smooth appearance.
Merz Pharma, an international neurotoxin and aesthetics company, is the manufacturer of Bocouture. With a focus on product innovation, Merz strives to help patients look, live, and feel better on a global scale.
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Bocouture works to relax the patient’s facial muscles through the blocking of nerve impulses. With this, muscle contraction is prevented, resulting in reversible muscular relaxation. These injections are indicated for the temporary correction of upper facial lines in adult patients under the age of 65.
Xeomin is suitable for the improvement of vertical lines between the eyebrows.
HOW DOES THIS BOTOX WORK?
Bocouture is a neurotoxin that works by temporarily blocking the release of a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine. This compound is responsible for the transmission of impulses between the nerves and muscles, allowing for muscular activation. By blocking the release of this chemical, neuromuscular communications are cut off, bringing movement to a halt. When injected into the face, this mechanism relaxes the look of facial lines and wrinkles that have formed on the skin’s surface.
The botulinum toxin contained in Bocouture, which is known as Clostridium botulinum, has been purified to remove any complexing proteins. These proteins may trigger the formation of antibodies, reducing the effectiveness of cosmetic treatments over time. Therefore, by removing these proteins, the treatment’s effectiveness is increased.
HOW TO INJECT XEOMIN
Please note that only a certified and trained medical practitioner should administer Xeomin injections. All practitioners must have specialized knowledge of treatments with botulinum toxins.
Prior to injection, reconstitute the powder using aseptic clinical practice guidelines. Once complete, ensure that the reconstituted botulinum toxin is clear and colorless, without any clouding or particulate matter. If this solution comes into contact with the skin, wash the affected area with a bleach solution and rinse it thoroughly with water. If it gets into the eyes, flush them thoroughly with water.
Inject Bocouture using a thin, sterile needle. When injecting this solution into the glabellar frown lines, the dosage should come to a total of 20 units, or 4 units into each of the 5 injection sites. This includes 2 injections in each corrugator muscle, as well as one injection in the procerus muscle. The initial effects will be seen within 2 to 3 days following this procedure. For the lateral periorbital lines, inject 12 units of Bocouture into each eye. The effects of this treatment should be noticeable within 6 days of treatment. Finally, for injection into the forehead, use a dose between 10 and 20 units, depending on the individual needs of the patient. Inject the solution into 5 horizontally aligned injection sites in the frontalis muscle. The initial effects will be seen within 7 days after the procedure.
Please note that the interval between treatments must be at least 3 months in length. If no effects are visible within 1 month of the initial injection, the practitioner may:
Analyze potential causes of this failure (e.g. improper injection, insufficient dosage, etc.);
Adjust the patient’s dose;
Or consider different forms of therapy.
HOW LONG DOES THIS BOTULINUM TOXIN LAST?
Please note that the longevity of Bocouture treatments depends on the patient’s age, lifestyle, and the severity of the wrinkles to be treated. However, the initial effects from this treatment should be noticeable within a week of treatment and may last up to 4 months.
In order to maintain results, patients may continue treatments at an interval of 3 months.
IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE?
While Xeomin is considered safe for use in a variety of instances, certain patients should not undergo this treatment. Do not use in patients who are over the age of 65 or under the age of 18, or in breastfeeding or pregnant individuals. Additionally, Bocouture should never be injected into patients with hypersensitivity or allergy to any of its ingredients; patients with generalized disorders of muscle activity; or infection or inflammation at the injection site.
Moreover, to reduce the risk of bleeding, Xeomin should not be combined with anticoagulant drugs or used in patients with bleeding disorders. Also, it should not be combined with other muscle relaxants, as well as aminoglyside or spectinomycin antibiotics.

WHAT IS XEOMIN MADE OF?
Bocouture is sourced from the bacteria known as Clostridium botulinum. In this formulation, the bacteria have been purified to remove complexing proteins, which may reduce the effectiveness of cosmetic treatments.
This unique compound blocks the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter responsible for muscular activation. When injected into the face, it relaxes the muscles and reduces the appearance of moderate to severe lines and wrinkles. This offers patients a much smoother, more youthful appearance.
