Manufactured in Switzerland by Teoxane Laboratories, Teosyal Meso is a viscoelastic, sterile, colourless gel of non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid. It is not obtained from animal origin, making it highly biocompatible for added patient tolerability.
Each box of Teosyal Meso holds 2 prefilled 1mL syringes, 2-30G½” needles for each syringe, and 2 traceability labels. To prevent the gel’s premature degradation, the sterilized packaging should be stored between 2 and 25°C, and kept out of direct sunlight.
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
Teosyal Meso was formulated for the rehydration and smoothing of the skin. While this cosmetic filler is especially pertinent for treating the first signs of aging, it is especially recommended for use on young, dehydrated skin. Through injection into the superficial dermis, it works to moisturize and fill out dry skin on the neck, face, and decolletage.
HOW DOES THIS DERMAL FILLER WORK?
Teosyal Meso is chock-full of hyaluronic acid, a component that naturally occurs in every living organism. In the dermis, this substance preserves levels of moisture and volume, boosting the skin’s tone and hydration. However, throughout the aging process, natural levels of hyaluronic acid diminish, leaving the skin dry and fragile.
Through injection with Teosyal Meso, hyaluronic levels are restored. With its marked fluidity and viscoelasticity, the form of hyaluronic acid in this filler diffuses uniformly into cutaneous tissue, increasing hydration and reinforcing the structure of the dermis.
Moreover, because Teosyal Meso is biodegradable, it is slowly absorbed back into the skin over time. This ensures that results will fade homogeneously, with periodic treatment sessions available to maintain a satisfactory level of skin hydration.
This dermal filler is ideal for men and women of any age and skin type, working to improve the overall tone and elasticity of the skin.
HOW TO INJECT?
To avoid any adverse reactions to this filler, only licensed medical professionals trained in aesthetic medicine are able to perform these injections. The practitioner must have an understanding of proper injection techniques to ensure that the patient’s desired results are achieved.
Before injection, all patients must be questioned regarding their medical history, informed about the foreseeable outcome of this treatment, and warned about any potentially undesirable effects. At this time, the affected area must be disinfected thoroughly using a proper antiseptic solution. Please note that this procedure should be carried out using the needles provided in the box.
Teosyal Meso is to be injected superficially and slowly over the treated area using the multipuncture technique. To achieve the best results, manually stretch the injection site and create multipunctures of 2 to 3 millimetres in diameter to a depth of 2 millimetres, each separated by a 1 centimetre gap. The amount of gel to be injected depends on the size of the treatment site.
Depending on the level of correction required, 2 to 3 treatment sessions may be required initially, at an interval of 3 or 4 weeks. After this period, maintenance treatments will be required every 2 to 3 months.
Once the injection process is complete, remind the patient not to wear makeup for 12 hours after treatment, and to keep out of extreme temperatures for 1 week. After the appointment is complete, carefully discard any used needles and remaining gel.
HOW LONG DOES THIS FACE FILLER LAST?
The results from treatment with Teosyal Meso should last, on average, between 2 and 3 months. However, this may vary depending on the patient’s age, lifestyle and skin type. Maintenance treatments will be required every 3 months in order to retain the initial results.
IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE?
Although Teosyal Meso is widely regarded as a safe cosmetic treatment, some individuals should avoid the use of this product. Most notably, this treatment is not recommended for pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding, or children.
Patients who are hypersensitive to hyaluronic acid should not use this product. Additionally, those with a history of severe allergy or anaphylactic shock, autoimmune diseases, or cutaneous disorders should not use Teosyal Meso.
Finally, it should not be used for non-intradermal injections; in combination with chemical peels, laser treatments, or ultrasounds; or on patients with inflammation or infection at the treatment site.
