FILORGA LIGHT PEEL (SENSITIVE SKIN) 100ml medical-grade.

WHAT IS FILORGA LIGHT PEEL?

Filorga Light Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel solution manufactured for sensitive skin. Created by Filorga Laboratories, this product is made in France and is a non-surgical and non-invasive anti-ageing solution. This product works to brighten the appearance of dull skin and correct fine lines and minor wrinkles. Each package includes 1-100mL bottle of the chemical solution, 1 dosing tube, and 1 brush applicator. Filorga Light Peel helps reverse the first signs of ageing by allowing the skin to produce new, younger cells, thereby contributing to a radiant, rejuvenated appearance. This product is the perfect option for patients who may be worried about early signs of ageing, but are wary of cosmetic injections or surgery.

WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

This peeling product is used on sensitive skin as an anti-aging treatment. It reduces the appearance of fine lines and adds radiance to dull-looking skin. Additionally, this is a great product for patients with blemishes or slightly uneven skin pigmentation, though it is not recommended for individuals with dark skin shades, as it may cause uneven patches of lighter skin. The carefully chosen active ingredients smooth and improve the skin, while simultaneously reducing irritation, making it perfect for people with sensitive skin. Filorga Light Peel may also help control acne, reduce the appearance of acne scars, and regulate sebum levels. The solution can safely be applied to the face, neck, and decolletage.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Filorga Light Peel is an exfoliant that works to eradicate dead skin cells by slowly peeling away the topmost layer of the dermis, allowing new, younger and healthier skin cells to grow. Skin cells exhibit the signs of aging due to their exposure to harmful elements such as the sun or other toxin, resulting in fine lines and a loss of radiance. With a product like Filorga Light Peel, patients will see an improved, smoother and brighter complexion as fresh cells are brought to the surface. As the solution contains Mandelic acid, the only alpha hydroxy acid that contains antibacterial properties, this product also effectively fights against inflammatory acne lesions, helping to regulate the production of sebum and therefore helping to control acne.

HOW TO APPLY FILORGA LIGHT PEEL?

This solution should only be administered by medical professionals that are licensed in accordance with local legislation. For best results, the chemical peel treatment should be applied in 4 treatments, with each treatment taking place 2 weeks apart. Clinical testing has determined that this is the most effective treatment schedule and will achieve optimal results. Prior to application, transfer approximately 2.5 to 3mL of the solution into the dispenser tube that comes with the package. To prepare the patient’s skin for pH balancing, apply a pre-peel product, such as Filorga Pre Peel, directly to the treatment area using a cotton pad or compress. Next, apply the solution to the skin of the area being treated using the applicator brush, which is also included in the package. The product should be left on the skin for 3 minutes before applying a post-peel solution, such as Filorga Post Peel, to the skin using a cotton pad or compress. This will neutralize the peel. Finally, the entire application area should be rinsed using a wet cotton pad or compress. The entire process should take less than 30 minutes, leading some to call such a session a “lunchtime peel” as it is so quick.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

The duration of results will also vary by person in a procedure such as this. However, a superficial chemical peel such as this should last, on average, between 1 to 2 months. For more enduring results, a maintenance treatment schedule can be created once the initial 4 treatments are complete. The longevity of the effects of the peel will depend on many factors, including the age and lifestyle of the individual, as well as the condition of the skin treated.

IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE?

The use of Filorga Light Peel does come with mild risks, including the risk of allergy or hypersensitivity. As with all similar procedures, it is important to discuss a patient’s medical history and discuss the ingredients of the peel to decrease the risk of any adverse reactions. When applying the solution, it is vital to avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. After care is also important, and patients should be advised to avoid sun exposure for two days after treatment, and should apply an SPF 50 sunscreen to the treated area thereafter. Overall, Filorga Light Peel is a very low-risk treatment, particularly when compared to other anti-ageing solutions, as it does not require any surgery or invasive procedures, thus reducing the risk of complications such as infection.
