Restylane Perlane for age-related skin changes

Restylane Perlane is a hyaluronic acid filler manufactured by the Swedish company Q-med. With its help, procedures are carried out that help get rid of age-related skin changes. Compared with the usual Restylane, it is more dense, therefore, it gives a more pronounced instant effect and lasting result.

Indications Restylane Perlane

At the heart of the action of Restylane Perlane is its ability to fill in the recesses in the skin and give the tissues volume at the injection site. Enter it intradermally so that the drug is in the dermis, in order to:

  • smoothing "crow's feet";
  • elimination of nasolabial folds and wrinkles in the forehead, on the nose and between the eyebrows;
  • elimination of creases of the skin under and above the lips;
  • changes in the shape and size of certain areas of the face (cheekbones, lips, nose, chin, etc.).

Use Restylane Perlane under the eyes is not recommended. In this area, the skin is too thin, and there is practically no subcutaneous fat in it, so it is better to use a drug with a lower density.

Features Restylane Perlane

Restylane Perlane Gel is fully biocompatible. Such a filler differs from others in that it contains biosynthesized hyaluronic acid. Its molecules are gradually included in the metabolism and eventually decompose to water and carbon dioxide. They do not interfere with the flow of oxygen and nutrients into the tissues. The revitalizing effect of this drug is that it activates the skin cells, which are responsible for the synthesis of their own elastin and collagen in the tissues.

How is the procedure performed?

Before the introduction of Restylane Perlane, anesthesia method is chosen (not required for wrinkle correction, since a small volume of gel is injected). As anesthetic, lidocaine or another local anesthetic is used. If the procedure is carried out with the aim of changing facial features, special markings are applied to the skin. This helps to maintain symmetry and get a natural result. The filler is inserted so that the skin, wrinkled, is pushed from the inside out.

Contraindications to the use of Perline are:

  • acute illnesses;
  • period of pregnancy and lactation;
  • blood clotting disorder;
  • skin diseases at the injection site;
  • taking anticoagulants.

The gel density is such that even deep wrinkles can be reliably smoothed for up to 2 years. But some cosmetic procedures can contribute to faster resorption of the filler and a decrease in gel volume.

The price of procedures with Restylane Perlane depends on the correction zone. To correct the eyebrow wrinkles, only 0.5–1 ml of the drug will be needed, to fill the nasolabial folds - 1-2 ml. The number of Restylane Perlane and the exact price of the procedure can be obtained from a cosmetologist during a personal consultation.
